Snowflake Architect - Cloud Data Platform

One of our client which is a leading IT services and consulting company in Healthcare Domain. Job Title : Snowflake Architect Location : Mumbai / Pune / Bangalore / Chennai Employment Type : Full-Time Experience Required : 10 years (with at least 4 years in Snowflake) Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect to design and implement scalable data solutions using Snowflakes cloud data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of data architecture, ETL pipelines, data warehousing concepts, and Snowflake-specific features. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build modern data platforms that support advanced analytics and business intelligence. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse. - Define and implement best practices for data modeling, ELT/ETL, security, and performance tuning in Snowflake. - Migrate existing data platforms (on-prem or other cloud warehouses) to Snowflake. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Build robust data pipelines using tools like DBT, Apache Airflow, Matillion, or equivalent. - Optimize data storage, query performance, and cost efficiency on Snowflake. - Implement security policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and data governance using Snowflake features. - Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues and ensure high availability. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers and analysts. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 8 years of experience in data architecture and data engineering. - 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation tools. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schema, normalization, etc.). - Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines and DevOps practices. - Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: - Snowflake certification (Architect or Advanced). - Experience integrating with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. - Knowledge of real-time data processing (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.). - Experience with DataOps and Agile methodologies.
