OSIsoft PI Consultant

About the Job : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OSIsoft PI Consultant to join our dynamic team. As an OSIsoft PI Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, upgrading, and supporting real-time data solutions leveraging the OSIsoft PI software suite. This role requires a strong understanding of PI Infrastructure, data integration, and custom development, with a preference for candidates with experience in the Life Sciences and Energy domains. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. Responsibilities : - PI Infrastructure Implementation : Design, configure, and deploy robust and scalable real-time data solutions using the OSIsoft PI System, AVEVA products, and other relevant data hubs. - System Upgrades : Plan, manage, and execute PI system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. - Data Integration : Develop, implement, and support solutions for integrating the OSIsoft PI System with various L2/L3 systems, including MES, ERP, and other enterprise applications. - Custom Development : Design and develop custom interfaces, applications, and solutions using C#, .NET, SQL, and PI API/Adapter calls to extend the functionality of the PI System. - Client Collaboration : Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, gather technical specifications, and translate them into effective and efficient PI System solutions. - System Administration : Install, configure, and maintain the OSIsoft PI Suite products, including PI Server, AF Server, PI Vision, PI Data Historian, and various PI Interfaces. - Performance Optimization : Monitor and analyze PI System performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability, reliability, and data integrity. - Customer Interaction : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively and providing excellent customer service. - Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in OSIsoft PI and related technologies through training, industry publications, and community engagement. Preferred Skills and Qualifications : Technical Expertise : - Proven expertise in the OSIsoft PI software suite, including PI Server, AF Server, PI Vision, PI Data Historian, and various PI Interfaces and Connectors. - Strong understanding of PI System architecture, data flow, and security best practices. Programming Skills : - Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and .NET. - Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts. - Experience working with PI API and Adapter calls for custom integrations. - Experience with advanced analytics tools within the PI System, such as PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames. - Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
