SAP Functional Consultant - PP/QM/SD Modules

About the Job : We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in one or more of the following modules : Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Materials Management (MM). This is a full-time, on-site role in Chennai, where you will contribute to the successful implementation and optimization of SAP solutions for our clients. Role Description : As an SAP Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP modules, and providing expert guidance to clients. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of SAP functionalities within the supply chain and logistics domains. Responsibilities : Business Process Analysis : - Conduct in-depth analysis of client business processes related to PP, QM, SD, and MM. - Identify gaps and areas for improvement in existing processes. - Translate business requirements into functional specifications. SAP Configuration and Implementation : - Configure and customize SAP modules (PP, QM, SD, or MM) based on client requirements. - Develop and execute test plans to ensure system functionality and data integrity. - Perform data migration and validation activities. - Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting. Module Specific Responsibilities : PP (Production Planning) : - Master data maintenance (BOMs, routings, work centers). - Demand planning, MRP, and production order management. - Capacity planning and shop floor control. QM (Quality Management) : - Inspection planning, quality notifications, and quality certificates. - Integration with production and procurement processes. - Calibration and vendor quality management. SD (Sales and Distribution) : - Sales order processing, delivery, and billing. - Pricing, credit management, and customer master data. - Integration with logistics and finance. MM (Materials Management) : - Procurement, inventory management, and material master data. - Inventory valuation and physical inventory management. - Vendor evaluation and purchasing processes. Integration : - Ensure seamless integration between PP, QM, SD, MM, and other SAP modules. - Troubleshoot integration issues and maintain data consistency. Client Interaction and Documentation : - Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users. - Prepare functional specifications, user manuals, and other documentation. - Provide regular updates to clients on project progress. Qualifications : - Experience : 3-5 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant in PP, QM, SD, or MM. - Module Expertise : In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following SAP modules : PP, QM, SD, or MM. - Business Process Knowledge : Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes. - Configuration Skills : Proven experience in configuring and customizing SAP modules. - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Communication Skills : Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Certifications (Preferred) : SAP certifications in relevant modules.
