SAP FICO Functional Tester

With a growing demand for SAP FICO and Functional Testing expertise, we are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant with hands-on experience in Functional Testing and FIFO (First In, First Out) to join our talented team in Hyderabad. Role Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant to work on our large scale SAP implementations and support projects. The role involves not only providing SAP FICO configuration and functional support but also ensuring the quality of the solution through comprehensive functional testing. With over 8 years of SAP FICO experience, and 5 years of expertise in Functional Testing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring system efficiency, stability, and alignment with business goals. The role will require a deep understanding of FIFO principles and integration with SAP FICO processes, especially within inventory, procurement, and financial modules. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing system configurations, performing unit and integration tests, and ensuring that business requirements are met without compromising quality. Key Responsibilities : Functional Testing & System Integration : - Lead and conduct functional testing of SAP FICO modules, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, etc.). - Collaborate with business analysts and key stakeholders to define and validate test cases that meet business requirements. - Ensure that all configurations, interfaces, and functionalities perform as intended within the SAP FICO environment. - Manage and execute end-to-end testing (unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing) to validate business processes. - Report, track, and resolve defects, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and retest the fixes. SAP FICO Configuration : - Provide expert-level configuration support for SAP FICO modules (FI, CO, GL, AP, AR, AA). - Configure key SAP FICO functionalities including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Funds Management (FM). - Work on SAP implementations, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring that all configurations align with business requirements and best practices. - Collaborate with functional teams to streamline accounting processes and integrate them into the wider SAP environment. FIFO Expertise : - Lead the integration and implementation of FIFO (First In, First Out) principles across SAP FICO, particularly within the Inventory Management (IM) and Materials Management (MM) modules. - Ensure that FIFO principles are correctly applied to financial transactions, inventory valuation, and cost allocation processes. - Identify and resolve issues related to FIFO processes in SAP, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Collaborate with Stakeholders : - Act as a liaison between the technical development team, functional team, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions. - Lead workshops and training sessions to empower business users with a clear understanding of SAP FICO functionality and processes. - Ensure that functional specifications and documentation are aligned with business needs. - Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects, within scope and budget. - Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of best practices in functional testing. - Stay updated on the latest trends in SAP FICO, Functional Testing, and FIFO, and recommend process enhancements to improve quality and efficiency. Support & Troubleshooting : - Provide second-level support and troubleshooting assistance for production issues related to SAP FICO processes. - Work with technical teams to resolve SAP performance issues, data discrepancies, and configuration errors that affect end-users. - Actively participate in post-implementation support, identifying areas for improvement, and addressing any functional gaps. Required Skills & Experience : - 8 years of experience in SAP FICO with 5 years of relevant experience in Functional Testing. - Strong experience with SAP FICO modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA). - Extensive experience in Functional Testing within SAP FICO, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Expertise in FIFO (First In, First Out) processes, especially in SAP modules related to Inventory Management (IM), Materials Management (MM), and financial transactions. - Proven track record of implementing SAP FICO configurations, managing complex testing scenarios, and supporting end-users during and after go-live. - Strong knowledge of Business Process Mapping (BPM) and requirements gathering. - Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager or similar testing management tools for test case documentation and defect tracking. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and business requirements. - Proficiency in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environment is a plus. - Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies for project management and delivery. Educational Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. - SAP Certification in SAP FICO or related areas is highly preferred. - Additional certifications in Testing (e.g., ISTQB) would be a plus.
