Job Description

Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership & Vision : - Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment with business strategy, IT roadmap, and industry best practices. - Provide thought leadership on leveraging new ServiceNow features and functionalities to drive innovation and efficiency. - Develop and maintain ServiceNow standards, policies, and guidelines for development, configuration, and deployment. - Participate in strategic planning and provide expert advice on ServiceNow capabilities and Governance & Management : - Serve as the platform owner/lead for mid to large-scale global ServiceNow deployments, overseeing the health, stability, and performance of the instance. - Establish and enforce governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all ServiceNow implementations. - Manage and optimize ServiceNow licensing to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to agreements. - Plan and execute ServiceNow upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and leveraging new features effectively. - Implement and maintain best practices for platform scalability, performance optimization, and data integrity. Solution Architecture & Design : - Lead the architectural design and implementation of end-to-end ServiceNow solutions for various application suites (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, GRC, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, Reporting, etc.). - Translate business requirements into robust and scalable ServiceNow solutions, considering factors such as performance, security, and maintainability. - Design and implement complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and other ServiceNow configurations. - Define and manage data models within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring data integrity and consistency. - Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST APIs and other integration Management & Communication : - Effectively communicate the ServiceNow architecture and roadmap to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives. - Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other IT teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions. - Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and design solutions. - Provide clear and concise documentation for architectural designs, configurations, and processes. - Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on ServiceNow capabilities and best practices. Technical Expertise & Development Oversight : - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ServiceNow developers and administrators. - Review and approve technical designs and code to ensure adherence to standards and best practices. - Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. - Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends. - Ensure adherence to data security practices and implement appropriate security protocols within the ServiceNow Management & Delivery : - Independently manage end-to-end ServiceNow implementations for application suites, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. - Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk management activities. - Work effectively within Agile and DevOps Qualifications and Skills : - ServiceNow Architect certification (preferred CMA - Certified Master Architect or minimum CTA - Certified Technical Architect). - 10 years of progressive experience working with the ServiceNow platform in multiple roles, including Architect, Developer, and Business Analyst. - Proven track record of independently managing and successfully delivering end-to-end ServiceNow implementations for various application suites. - Demonstrated experience as a platform owner or lead for mid to large-scale ServiceNow deployments within global organizations. - In-depth understanding of various ServiceNow versions, features, and licensing models. - Excellent communication and articulation skills, with significant experience interacting and presenting to C-suite stakeholders. - Expertise in implementing and optimizing a wide range of ServiceNow modules, including but not limited to: - IT Service Management (ITSM) - Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Knowledge Management - IT Operations Management (ITOM) - Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management - IT Asset Management (ITAM) - Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management - Customer Service Management (CSM) - Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) - HR Service Delivery (HRSD) - Security Operations (SecOps) - Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response - Service Catalog - Reporting and Analytics - Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, and scripting using JavaScript. - Proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow-specific scripting capabilities (e.g., GlideRecord, GlideForm, GlideAjax). - Extensive experience with ServiceNow REST APIs and other integration methods. - Proven experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance optimization techniques, and implementing best practices for scalability and high availability. - Strong knowledge of data security practices and the implementation of integration security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML). - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across different teams and levels. - Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proven ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative and effective solutions. - Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools. - Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and effectively in a remote Qualifications : - Experience with specific industry solutions built on the ServiceNow platform. - Knowledge of ITIL framework and its application within ServiceNow. - Experience with ServiceNow implementation methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). - Contributions to the ServiceNow community (e.g., participation in forums, developing shareable solutions). - Experience with automated testing frameworks within ServiceNow.
