Job Description : Responsibilities : - Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders for AMS engagements (support, enhancements, minor implementations). - Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, tailored to the specific requirements of SAP AMS projects. - Manage and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. - Coordinate and lead technical teams comprising SAP functional and technical consultants (ABAP developers, Basis administrators, functional module experts). - Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation plans. - Ensure proper documentation of project plans, progress, and outcomes. - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the AMS project lifecycle. - Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their business needs and technical environments. - Effectively communicate project status, progress, and potential challenges to clients in a clear and concise manner. - Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction with the delivered AMS services. - Facilitate regular project status meetings and steering committee meetings with clients. - Possess a strong understanding of SAP landscapes, including various modules (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA), technical components (e.g., ABAP, Basis), and integration technologies. - Oversee the technical execution of AMS tasks, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. - Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and deliver enhancements within the agreed SLAs. - Ensure proper knowledge transfer and documentation within the team. - Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends relevant to AMS. - Ensure that project deliverables and service delivery align with agreed-upon SLAs. - Monitor SLA performance and proactively address any potential breaches. - Work with the team to identify and implement measures to improve SLA adherence. - Report on SLA performance to both internal management and clients. - Identify opportunities for process improvement within the AMS delivery framework. - Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of AMS projects. - Contribute to the development of standardized processes and templates for AMS project management. - Participate in the allocation of technical resources to AMS projects. - Provide guidance and support to the project team members. - Contribute to the performance evaluation of team members. - Prepare regular project status reports for internal stakeholders and clients. - Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, issue logs, and change requests. - Ensure accurate time tracking and reporting by the project team. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. - 4-5 years of demonstrable experience in managing SAP implementation or AMS projects. - Proven experience in leading technical teams and coordinating with SAP functional and technical consultants. - Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, architecture, and various SAP modules. - Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile). - Experience in managing projects within a Service Level Agreement (SLA) driven environment. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, particularly in resolving technical challenges within project timelines. - Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams, clients, and management. - Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills. - Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow). - Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices is a plus. Preferred Qualifications : - Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant project management certifications. - Experience with SAP Solution Manager or other SAP-specific project management and service management tools. - ITIL certification. - Experience in managing offshore or distributed teams. - Knowledge of specific SAP modules relevant to our client base (e.g., S/4HANA, FI/CO, SD, MM, PP). - Experience with automation tools and techniques relevant to SAP AMS.
