Associate Director - Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

Job Title : Associate Director - AI/ML Location : Bangalore Experience : 12 Years Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director - AI/ML to lead our artificial intelligence and machine learning practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of AI/ML within the organization, managing internal and client-facing AI initiatives, and driving innovation and business growth. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies to shape the future of AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership & Innovation : - Develop and execute a comprehensive AI/ML strategy aligned with business goals. - Drive innovation, differentiation, and business growth through AI/ML capabilities. - Identify and prioritize high-impact AI/ML opportunities across business units. - Lead partnerships with vendors for collaboration, capability building, and go-to-market strategies. - Advocate ethical AI practices and governance standards. - Define new AI/ML services, offerings, and create reference architecture assets. Technical Leadership & Execution : - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions. - Ensure efficient deployment of AI/ML models in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. - Lead the selection, deployment, and management of AI/ML tools, platforms, and infrastructure. - Implement MLOps methodologies for efficient model deployment and management. - Develop reusable methodologies, pipelines, and models to enhance efficiency. - Drive AI/ML adoption through data discovery/analysis platforms (e.g., KNIME, Dataiku, H2O, AzureML, SageMaker). Client Engagement & Business Growth : - Collaborate with client teams to understand business challenges and provide AI/ML solutions. - Influence client revenues through innovative solutions and thought leadership. - Lead AI/ML-related proposals, RFPs, and business development initiatives. - Present AI/ML capabilities to clients, analysts, and key stakeholders. - Build strong relationships with clients and drive AI/ML project success. Team Leadership & Development : - Build and manage a high-performing AI/ML team consisting of engineers, data scientists, and specialists. - Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. - Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members. - Work cross-functionally with directors, managers, and stakeholders to align AI/ML initiatives. Performance Monitoring & Governance : - Monitor and measure AI/ML initiatives' performance in terms of cost savings, efficiency, and business impact. - Ensure adherence to best practices in AI ethics, security, and compliance. - Stay updated on AI/ML trends, emerging technologies, and industry & Experience : - 12 years of experience in the IT industry with a strong focus on AI/ML practice leadership. - 10 years of relevant experience in successfully launching, planning, and executing advanced data science projects. - Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field. - Expertise in text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, deep learning and advanced AI/ML methodologies. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, MATLAB, and experience with databases like SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra. - Experience with AI/ML deployment in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises, and containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) environments. - Strong understanding of machine learning techniques including regression, random forest, boosting, CNN, RNN, graph analysis, etc. - Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms such as KNIME, RapidMiner, Alteryx, Dataiku, H2O, AzureML, SageMaker. - Proven ability to drive business growth through AI/ML strategy, presales, and solution development. - Experience working across domains such as Industrial, Healthcare, Retail, and Communication. - Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to present compelling solutions.
