Position : ServiceNow CSDM/CMDB Consultant Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Experience : 6 - 12 Years Company : Talent Worx (Recruiting for a Leading Big 4 Consulting Firm) About the Client : Our client is a leading Big 4 consulting firm, renowned for its global expertise and innovative solutions. This role provides an opportunity to work on cutting-edge ServiceNow projects, focusing on the design and implementation of robust CSDM/CMDB frameworks. Job Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled ServiceNow CSDM/CMDB Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB configurations, data governance, and integration strategies. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure the CMDB effectively supports business and IT service management processes. Responsibilities : - Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. - Ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational needs. - Develop and document CSDM/CMDB architecture and design specifications. - Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and process owners to gather requirements. - Define data models and ensure the CMDB supports business and IT service management processes. - Conduct workshops and presentations to communicate CSDM/CMDB concepts and benefits. - Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness a cross the CMDB. - Implement processes for ongoing data maintenance and reconciliation. - Perform data audits and quality checks. - Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow CMDB and other enterprise systems (e.g., discovery tools, monitoring systems). - Automate data population and updates using ServiceNow APIs and integration tools. - Develop and maintain integration documentation. - Drive the adoption of the CSDM framework across the organization. - Provide training, documentation, and support to stakeholders and end-users. - Develop training materials and conduct training sessions. - Customize and configure ServiceNow CMDB to meet specific business requirements. - Create custom CI classes, attributes, and relationships. - Develop and maintain configuration documentation. - Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery tools to identify and map Configuration Items (CIs) and their relationships. - Ensure accurate representation of the IT ecosystem. - Troubleshoot discovery issues and optimize discovery performance. - Monitor and optimize the performance of the CMDB, ensuring it scales effectively to meet organizational growth and evolving business needs. - Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies. - Ensure the CMDB supports compliance requirements and provides accurate reporting for audits, service impact analysis, and decision-making processes. - Develop and maintain CMDB reports and dashboards. - Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced functionality within the CSDM/CMDB framework. - Lead initiatives to implement these improvements. - Stay updated on ServiceNow's latest features and best practices for CSDM/CMDB. Requirements : Experience : 6 - 12 years of experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow CSDM/CMDB frameworks. Technical Skills : - Deep understanding of ServiceNow CMDB architecture and capabilities. - Expertise in CSDM framework design and implementation. - Experience with ServiceNow Discovery tools and techniques. - Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API). - Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP). - Knowledge of data governance and data quality management. - Understanding of ITIL and other service management frameworks. Functional Skills : - Ability to gather and analyze business requirements. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Understanding of IT infrastructure and service management processes. Soft Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Strong customer service orientation. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Certifications (Preferred) : - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules (CMDB, ITOM).
