MSBI/Power BI Developer

Job Title : MSBI Power BI Developer Job Description : General Skills : - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Ability to interact with clients to understand and analyze business requirements. - Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and advancements in Power BI. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset. - 5 to 8 years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 4 years in Power BI. Technical Skills : - Strong understanding of business requirements in the MSBI context and designing data models to convert raw data into meaningful insights. - Knowledge of star and snowflake schemas and Data Warehouse concepts. - Proficiency in T-SQL with strong SQL performance tuning skills. - Hands-on experience in SSIS (ETL process development). - Development of Dashboards and Interactive Reports using Power BI. - Extensive experience in Power BI Service and Power BI On-Premise environments. - Ability to create relationships between data sources and develop appropriate data models. - Implementation of Tabular models and row-level security. - Expertise in writing and optimizing DAX queries. - Hands-on experience with Power Automate Flow for process automation. - Performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports. - Familiarity with Microsoft Azure analytics is an added advantage. Good to Have : - Azure BI skills (ADF, ADB, Synapse). - Good UI/UX design experience for Power BI reports. - Knowledge of Paginated Reports. - Experience with Power BI Embedded, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server. - Expertise in Direct Query and Import Mode usage. - Experience in integrating Power BI reports in external web applications. - Understanding of Data Gateways & Data Preparation. - Experience in using third-party custom visuals like Zebra BI. - Proficiency in creating T-SQL objects, scripts, views, and stored procedures. Preferred Experience : - 6 to 10 years of total IT experience, with at least 3 years of dedicated Power BI experience. - Strong knowledge in Data Modeling and Database Design with the ability to provide recommendations. - Expertise in implementing static and dynamic Row-Level Security (RLS). - Ability to make suggestions and implement best practices for ETL processes, OLAP cubes, and reports.
