Delivery Lead - Cloud Infrastructure

1. Role Overview : As the Delivery Manager for our Cloud Infrastructure domain, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex projects and solutions in IaaS/PaaS environments, with a specific emphasis on AI/GPU/CPU-based cloud offerings. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and key stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables, while optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and delighting customers. This is a senior role, requiring a deep understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure provisioning, high-performance GPU workloads, and customer-centric delivery methodologies. 2. Key Responsibilities : 1. Program / Project Management : - Plan and execute multiple, Multi Geographies/Multi Time Zone concurrent infrastructure delivery projects (including GPU-enabled compute solutions, HPC clusters, etc.) from concept to production. - Manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure smooth coordination between internal teams (Engineering, Product, DevOps, etc.). 2. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement : - Act as the primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders (e.g., enterprise clients, CSPs, or partner vendors) throughout the delivery lifecycle. 3.Delivery Governance & Process Optimization - Establish and maintain best practices in agile or hybrid project management frameworks, tailored to deep-tech product needs. - Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologydeploying metrics, dashboards (e.g., cost, performance, velocity), and lessons learned. - Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and relevant industry regulations. 4. Risk & Issue Management : - Proactively identify, log, and track potential risks and issues that may impact delivery timelines or quality (e.g., GPU availability, supply chain constraints, technical complexities). - Develop and implement risk mitigation/contingency plans in collaboration with technical leads and product owners. 5. Team Leadership & Collaboration : - Guide and mentor project coordinators or scrum masters, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and accountability. - Partner with engineering leads (AI/ML, HPC, GPU specialists) to ensure feasible solutions and stable releases. - Facilitate knowledge sharing, performance reviews, and training programs to enhance team capabilities. 6. Quality & Service Assurance : - Coordinate with the QA, SRE, or DevOps teams to embed reliability, scalability, and performance checksparticularly for GPU-intensive workloads. - Validate that final deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations and SLA requirements (e.g., high availability, peak GPU throughput). 3. Qualifications & Skills : 1. Education & Experience : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus). - 8 years of overall experience in Project Deliveries/program management within tech environments, with 3 years in cloud infrastructure or HPC/AI projects. 2. Domain Expertise : - Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaaS/PaaS concepts. - Experience with GPU-accelerated computing (e.g., NVIDIA GPUs, HPC clusters) and AI/ML workloads is highly desirable. 3. Project Management Mastery : - Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex infrastructure or software solutions on time and within budget. - Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) frameworks, plus knowledge of Waterfall/Hybrid models for certain enterprise or hardware-driven projects. - Ability to set up robust governance processes, track project metrics, and escalate effectively. 4. Leadership & Communication : - Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams (engineering, product, QA, operations) and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Excellent verbal and written communication skillsable to articulate complex technical points to both technical and business audiences. - Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. 5. Analytical & Problem-Solving : - Capable of dissecting intricate delivery challenges (e.g., GPU supply constraints, performance bottlenecks in HPC, multi-cloud integration) and formulating actionable solutions. - Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis in mission-critical contexts. 6. Tools & Certifications : - Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello, or similar). - PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or PMI-ACP certifications are a plus, especially if accompanied by real-world applications. - Knowledge of infrastructure automation or DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes) is beneficial (ref:hirist.tech)
