Splunk Engineer

We are currently looking to hire a Splunk Engineer. Location : India : 8 : 12 months : 9 am to 6 pm IST (Remote). Requirements : - Strong hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES). - Proficiency in Search Processing Language (SPL). - Experience in onboarding new data sources, building dashboards, alerts, and visualizations. - Familiarity with data normalization (Common Information Model CIM). - Experience with UNIX/Linux systems and system administration. - Scripting skills (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) for automation and data manipulation. - Knowledge of security and event management (SIEM), incident response, and threat detection (for security focused roles). - Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, alerts, and reports to support operational and security needs. - Integrate data sources from various environments (on-prem and cloud) into Splunk. - Implement parsing, transformation, and normalization using Field Extractions, Transformations, and Lookups. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, performance, and search functionality. - Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver end-to-end monitoring and analytics solutions. - Ensure log data is collected in compliance with governance and regulatory requirements. - Manage Splunk upgrades, app deployments, and configuration changes. - Automate processes where possible using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
