Saasvaap - Tibco Spotfire Developer - Dashboard Design

Role Description : Experience : 4 to 8 years This is a full-time on-site role for a Tibco Spotfire Developer, located in Chennai. As a Tibco Spotfire Developer at Saasvaap Inc., you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tibco Spotfire. You will work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into compelling and insightful visual analytics. This role requires a strong understanding of data visualization principles, data modeling concepts, and the ability to connect to various data sources. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tibco Spotfire to meet business requirements. - Connect to various data sources (databases, flat files, cloud platforms) and prepare data for analysis within Spotfire. - Utilize Spotfire's features and scripting capabilities (IronPython) to create advanced visualizations, calculations, and customizations. - Optimize Spotfire dashboards for performance and usability. - Implement data blending and data mashup techniques within Spotfire. - Ensure data accuracy and integrity in visualizations. - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and business questions. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and Spotfire development tasks. - Participate in design sessions and provide input on visualization best practices. - Understand data models and data structures from various source systems. - Perform data cleansing, transformation, and manipulation within Spotfire or using external tools as needed. - Create information links and data connections within the Spotfire environment. - Deploy Spotfire dashboards and applications to the Spotfire Server environment. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Spotfire dashboards, data connections, and performance. - Maintain and update existing Spotfire dashboards based on evolving business needs. - Work closely with other developers, data engineers, and business users. - Communicate effectively on project status, timelines, and potential roadblocks. - Provide training and support to end-users on Spotfire dashboards. - Keep abreast of the latest features and updates in Tibco Spotfire. - Explore new visualization techniques and best practices. Qualifications : - A solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies. - Proven experience (4 to 8 years) in developing interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tibco Spotfire. - Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and principles for effective communication of insights. - Experience connecting to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, cloud data warehouses) and preparing data for analysis within Spotfire. - Proficiency in using Iron Python scripting within Spotfire for advanced customizations and automation. - Understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, relational modeling) and how they relate to data visualization. - Ability to write and understand SQL queries for data extraction and analysis. - Experience with Infrastructure and Cloud Computing : Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. - Basic familiarity with Linux environments for potential server interaction or data access is a plus. - Solid understanding of relational and potentially non-relational database concepts.
