SAP Change Management Consultant

Work Location : India (REMOTE). Contract Period : 6 months, extendable. Requirements (SAP Change Management) - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. - 8 years of experience in SAP environment, with at least 23 years in change management roles. - Experience with SAP Solution Manager (especially ChaRM) or similar change control tools. - Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes and transport management processes. - Knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, FI, SD, or Basis is a plus. - Familiarity with ITIL processes and change lifecycle management. - Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented, with strong documentation and organizational abilities. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Pharma, Finance) is an added advantage. Responsibilities (SAP Change Management) : - Coordinate and manage all SAP-related changes across development, quality assurance, and production environments. - Ensure all changes follow the defined change management process and are properly documented. - Act as the primary contact between functional/business teams and technical teams for SAP change control. - Manage transport requests (TRs) using tools like SAP ChaRM (Change Request Management) or Solution Manager. - Review and assess the impact of proposed changes, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. - Schedule and execute planned changes, including system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. - Monitor and report on change implementation progress, risks, and issues. - Collaborate with project managers, BASIS teams, and application owners to ensure changes are delivered on time and within scope. - Conduct change advisory board (CAB) meetings or contribute inputs for approval decisions. - Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and corporate IT policies during change execution. - Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on change procedures and documentation standards.
