Core Banking Test Consultant - Automation Testing Tools

Position : Core Banking Test Consultant (Flexcube Retail - FCR) Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Experience : Minimum 4 Years Company : Talent Worx (Recruiting for a Leading Big 4 Consulting Firm) Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Core Banking Test Consultant with a focus on Flexcube Retail (FCR). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing within the retail banking domain, specifically with FCR India versions. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of core banking systems through comprehensive testing and defect management. Responsibilities : - Perform hands-on testing of Flexcube Retail (FCR) applications, specifically India versions (11.7 to 11.11). - Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications. - Ensure thorough testing of core banking functionalities related to CASA, Deposits, Lending (Agri/Term), Payments (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, DD, BC), Clearing, Trade Finance, Treasury, Journal entries, Limits & collaterals, and GEFU. - Apply deep understanding of the retail banking domain to effectively test core banking applications. - Understand and test complex banking processes and workflows. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. - Perform integration testing to ensure seamless communication between different modules and systems. - Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that the application meets business requirements. - Collaborate with business users to gather feedback and address issues. - Utilize test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, TestRail) to manage test cases, defects, and test execution. - Log, track, and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution. - Generate test reports and provide status updates to stakeholders. Test Automation (Preferred) : - Develop and execute automated test scripts using relevant automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT). - Contribute to the automation framework and improve test efficiency. - Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and effective testing. - Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project managers and stakeholders. - Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions. Requirements : Experience : - Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in software testing. - Proven experience with Flexcube Corporate (FCC) and Flexcube Retail (FCR). - Experience with FCR India versions (11.7 to 11.11) is essential. Technical Skills : - Strong understanding of core banking functionalities (CASA, Deposits, Lending, Payments, Clearing, Trade Finance, Treasury, Journal entries, Limits & collaterals, GEFU). - Proficiency in integration and user acceptance testing. - Experience with test and defect management tools and frameworks. - Knowledge of SQL and database testing. - Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) is a plus. - Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) is a plus. Functional Skills : - Strong understanding of retail banking domain. - Ability to analyze complex banking processes and requirements. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Soft Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Certifications (Preferred) : - ISTQB Certification or other relevant testing certifications.
