SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream Specialist

Job Description : We are looking for a talented and experienced SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP solutions tailored for the Oil & Gas downstream sector, with a deep understanding of business processes within refining, distribution, and retail. This role is key to implementing and maintaining SAP systems that optimize operations and improve efficiency in the downstream oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities : - SAP Implementation & Configuration : Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP modules relevant to the Oil & Gas downstream sector (e.g., SAP IS-Oil, SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), SAP Production Planning (PP)). - Business Process Mapping : Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, map business processes, and configure SAP solutions to support downstream oil & gas operations. - Integration & Customization : Ensure seamless integration of SAP systems with other enterprise systems, customizing SAP solutions to meet the specific needs of the downstream oil and gas industry. - Support & Maintenance : Provide ongoing support for SAP solutions, addressing issues, conducting system upgrades, and ensuring that the SAP system is aligned with business requirements. - Data Management : Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across SAP systems, particularly related to inventory management, procurement, and production. - Testing & Documentation : Conduct thorough testing (unit testing, UAT) and document configuration and troubleshooting procedures for future reference. - Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure smooth delivery of SAP projects. - Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging SAP technologies, and trends to help improve operational efficiency and support innovation in the downstream oil & gas sector. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 6-8 years of experience in SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream, with hands-on experience in relevant SAP modules such as SAP IS-Oil, SAP MM, SAP PP, SAP PM. - Strong understanding of oil & gas downstream operations, including refining, distribution, and retail. - Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation and post-implementation support within the downstream sector. - Solid knowledge of business processes in oil & gas production, procurement, and maintenance. - Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously. - Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and standards is a plus. Preferred Skills : - SAP certification in IS-Oil or relevant SAP modules. - Hands-on experience with SAP FICO and SAP SD in the Oil & Gas downstream sector. - Experience with SAP Data Migration and system integration in the oil & gas industry.
