Snowflake Developer - ETL/SQL/Python

Job Description : Worx is seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer to join our team and support our clients in leveraging data for impactful business decisions. As a Snowflake Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions using the Snowflake data platform, ensuring high availability and performance. Key Responsibilities : - Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines in Snowflake to support analytics and reporting needs. - Optimize data loading processes, including bulk loading, Snowpipe, and staging data. - Design and implement data models and structures within Snowflake, including tables, views, and materialized views. - Work closely with clients to gather requirements and understand data needs. - Monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake performance and costs, providing solutions for optimization. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Snowflake solutions with existing data architectures and ETL processes. - Document technical specifications and best practices for data solutions. Requirements Key Requirements : - 8-11 years of experience in data engineering or database development with a focus on Snowflake. - Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and retrieval. - Experience with Snowflake data loading and unloading processes. - Understanding of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses and data sharing capabilities. - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data integration. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. - Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication skills to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications : - Snowflake certification or other relevant data-related certifications. - Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira. - Exposure to Python or other programming languages for scripting and automation.
