Job Title: Maintenance Head Location: Gujarat Job Summary: The Maintenance Head at Damati Plastics will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of all manufacturing equipment, with a strong emphasis on injection moulding machinery. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and leading a team of skilled technicians. The Maintenance Head will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment.The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, ensuring the seamless operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: •Oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, with a focus on injection moulding machinery. •Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Troubleshooting: •Lead diagnostics and repair for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. •Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve recurring equipment issues. Operational Efficiency: •Ensure all machinery operates at peak efficiency, optimizing production output. •Identify and implement upgrades or replacements for outdated equipment. Health and Safety: •Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. •Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as required. Team Leadership: •Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled maintenance technicians. •Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the maintenance team. Spare Parts and Inventory Management: •Maintain optimal inventory levels for spare parts and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays. •Establish relationships with vendors for cost-effective and timely procurement of maintenance supplies. Documentation and Reporting: •Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, machine performance, and downtime. •Provide regular updates to senior management on equipment status and maintenance plans. Continuous Improvement: •Implement best practices for maintenance processes, focusing on cost reduction and increased reliability. •Monitor KPIs related to equipment performance and downtime, driving improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and proven leadership skills to drive operational efficiency and ensure uninterrupted production. Required Qualifications: • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related field. Advanced certifications in maintenance management are a plus. Experience: •Minimum 8–10 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, particularly in plastics manufacturing. •Extensive knowledge of injection moulding machinery and troubleshooting. Skills and Competencies: •Strong leadership and team management capabilities. •Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques. •Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and maintenance software. •Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. •Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Soft Skills: •Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers. •Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members. •Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
