Lab Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician with expertise in electrical and plumbing systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and plumbing systems within the lab. Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Testing: Conduct various laboratory tests and experiments, including sample preparation. Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment, ensuring all devices are calibrated and functioning correctly. Plumbing Systems: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems within the laboratory, including water supply, drainage, and gas lines. Electrical Systems: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems and components in the lab. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a clean and hazard-free laboratory environment. Data Recording: Accurately record and report data and findings using both paper and electronic formats. Inventory Management: Assist in ordering and managing laboratory supplies, including chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases. Requirements: Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and potentially hazardous substances. In-depth understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a laboratory setting. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certification or training in electrical and plumbing systems. Experience in a research or industrial laboratory setting. Diploma/ Engineering degree is desirable
