About the Role As an Operations Manager at Americold, you will be at the heart of our supply chain and logistics operations, playing a key role in driving daily execution and long-term improvements at our temperature-controlled facility. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, leading, and optimizing all operational activities on site, while ensuring our standards in food safety, quality, productivity, and employee well-being are upheld. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring optimal resource allocation (people, MHE, cold storage, documentation, and order fulfillment). Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse teams, ensuring clear expectations, ongoing training, and performance management. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations for food safety, hygiene, and occupational safety. Oversee product movement in/out of temperature-controlled chambers, ensuring integrity and traceability. Maintain high standards of order, cleanliness, and safety across all operational areas. Monitor and manage automated systems and physical operations to meet planning and fulfillment goals. Authorize and verify the use of machinery and equipment according to training and safety standards. Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP, Food Defense, and environmental best practices. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across departments. Act as the operational point of contact for customer-related issues, ensuring timely and professional handling. Reject and report incoming goods that do not meet temperature or quality standards. Promote and uphold Americold’s core values: Determination, Trust, Openness, Accountability, and Proactivity. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (CFGS or related field). Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within logistics, cold storage, or supply chain environments. Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive, and flexible mindset. Experience with automated warehouse systems and supply chain planning. Certifications or training in Food Defense, HACCP, environmental practices, and workplace safety. Analytical and solution-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Fluency in Spanish and professional working knowledge of English. A strong team player who leads by example and embraces Americold’s values and goals. Why Americold?
