Mechanical Design Engineer Permanent Position Salary Guide: Circa £50.000 PA (dependent on experience) Location: Harlow, Essex Establish Special Purpose Machinery Manufacturer is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly dedicated and skilled team. Primary Responsibilities: Design new products from concept sketches or design briefs using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Modify existing products to enhance functionality Produce mechanical manufacturing and assembly drawings that meet ISO and quality standards Research and specify suitable proprietary parts Create and manage bill of materials (BOM); SAP experience is a bonus Maintain the standard product library Adhere to HSE machinery safety standards Conduct machinery risk assessments for new and existing equipment Support the production team during assembly and testing phases Implement change control processes for product improvements Develop machinery layouts for customer and quotation purposes Prepare operation and maintenance manuals Key Skills Required: Expertise in Mechanical Engineering Design Proficiency with Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, and MS Office 365 Ability to detail machined components, welded fabrications, sheet metal, and laser cut parts Experience Needed: Familiarity with designing special purpose machines Working within the field of Mechanical Engineering Design If you possess the required skills and experience and are eager to join a team dedicated to bringing new machinery to market efficiently and effectively, please get in touch with us.
