Job Description

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to analyze a problem and work toward repairing. A candidate who has a practical and logical mindset that loves working with their hands and tools. Someone who strives to achieve exceptional customer service with strong work ethics and determination to prioritize and complete tasks within a reasonable timeframe, pro-active and willing to work in a team. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A POWER TOOL REPAIR TECHNICIAN Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, repair, assemble, quality check, and clean all kinds of power tools (pneumatic, corded, cordless power tools). Assist with regulating stock take on parts. Basic administrative duties (invoicing of parts, reporting). Customer liaison (gathering information / providing feedback). Undergo training and upskilling on repair programs and techniques. Occasional off-site repair work at customer premises. Maintenance of repair tools and regular housekeeping. Liaison with other departments (R&D / Quality control). Keep work areas neat and tidy. Skills and Experience: Good understanding of power tools and their uses in general. Electronic and technical knowledge of power tools and accessories. Ability to diagnose faults and perform hands-on repairs. Attention to detail. Ability to interpret and work off exploded views, parts diagrams, and repair programs. Basic computer and programs literate (excel/word/PowerPoint). Qualification: Matric Certificate (Grade 12). Technical qualifications (optional). Technical /repairing background. Basic computer skills. Valid SA drivers license Must ideally reside in Midrand/Centurion (or surrounding areas)
