A minimum of 3 - 5 years buying / procurement experience, preferably in the electrical or plumbing industr y is required for this PMB based concern. Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced individual to manage and grow the procurement operations across two existing branches. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing products and a proven ability to manage stock, negotiate supplier deals and drive buying efficiencies across local and imported product categories. Key responsibilities: Purchase stock Source and manage buyouts, general stock lines and imported goods Negotiate supplier pricing, deals and rebates Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and sales representatives Manage resolve supplier returns Provide monthly procurement and performance reports to management Monitor stock levels, trends and forecast demand to ensure optimal inventory levels Based in Pietermaritzburg.
