POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Human Resources Specialist (HRSS) is responsible for providing support to our Owens and Minor family of current and former teammates. This includes, but is not limited to, responding to inquiries, SME for Tier 1 and CET support, help to create best in class service center with strategic business goals aligned, configuration of HRSC technology, and reporting. This role will work collaborate with the suite of HR, Operations, Finance, IT, etc. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality, compliance, and consistent practices exist within the service center platform. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts. Act as Subject Matter Expert for Tier 1 and CET support. Develop and maintain process documentation as needed. Train and supervise agents that support HR Shared Services. Support service level and quality assurance metrics across service center operations to adhere to high efficiency standards. Contribute to strategic enhancements and improve user experiences by driving best practices related to data integrity and processes. Support discussions with HRBP’s and Leadership to drive decision making by asking questions to help discover true needs and brainstorm effective, efficient solutions. Act as a thought leadership partner and subject matter expert for HR Shared Services projects and initiatives on data and processes. Facilitate system configuration of case management system with support from internal team. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs additional duties as directed. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred. At least 3-5 years of experience working in customer service focused center or HR operations At least 3-5 years of Human Resources experience Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite At least 3 years of experience with Workday HCM At least 3-5 years of working in an agile environment (Salesforce or ServiceNow) Or combination of relevant education and experience. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Highly detail-oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment Strong verbal and written communication skills English Language Skills (reading, writing, verbal) Excellent math and problem solving/analytical skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to provide feedback and coach others Ability to self-train and learn new skills quickly Ability to creatively problem solve with an understanding of short- and long-term impact Ability to work as part of a team as well as participate on team projects
