Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for coordinating, executing, and actively managing onboarding activities for Owens & Minor new hires, from offer acceptance through the first week of employment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the timely and correct onboarding of teammates, from the start of the open requisition through the first week of employment Provides support to hiring managers from start to finish in hiring a new teammate to their team Assists candidates with questions and any technical issues that may arise when trying to apply for an open position Manages the onboarding tasks and background checks to ensure there are no delays Collaborates with necessary partners on manager questions, new job creation and job offers Closely partners with recruiters on answering or escalating questions Frequently follows up with hiring manager on progress of onboarding their candidate and notifies them of any delays Responsible for ensuring all new hire forms are properly completed and signed Identify process improvements and present such ideas to the team Understand and successfully navigate HR systems including Workday and Salesforce/ServiceNow Other duties as assigned SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs additional duties as directed. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience 1-2 years of experience working in Human Resources or Onboarding/Hiring Logistics roles 1-2 years of Workday experience 1-2 years of case management experience (ServiceNow, Salesforce or similar) Proficient in Microsoft Suite PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree preferred KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: English Language Skills (reading, writing, verbal) Highly detail-oriented and organized Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving & customer service skills Business Acumen Ability to work autonomously, as part of a team as well as participate in team projects Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Ability to learn new processes, tasks & engage with team remotely Computer savvy with: MS Excel and other MS Office products required Must have a dedicated, quiet work environment Internet speeds of 100Mpbs or more
