Job Description

Job Functions: Call on existing and potential new customers Pursue opportunities for new business to ensure continuous growth Maintain positive relationships with existing customers Promote sales by differentiation of company products and services Identify new product possibilities. Establish stock availability and pricing and to submit quotes to customers. Liaise closely with Internal Sales, ensuring that quotations are submitted timeously and there is regular follow up on outstanding quotes and orders. Ensure customers are fully appraised of all related issues surrounding pricing, products and delivery and that all correspondence from customers is responded to timeously. Understand and implement pricing structure as required. Interact with the factory and/or warehouse regarding production progress / stock availability and delivery. Resolve customer complaints Monitor competition. Weekly reporting and feedback meeting on sales activities Discuss and agree sales targets. Develop budgets in consultation with Directors Review Actual Sales vs Budgeted Sales each month Criteria Required Minimum Matric Preferred post matric qualification in either Sales or a Technical Field Proven experience in a similar environment Drivers license and own reliable vehicle Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Working knowledge of ERP / CRM systems such as Syspro, Microsoft Navision, or similar Skills Required Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Good numeric skills Able to work independently Commitment to service excellence Entrepreneurial flair with strong business acumen Ability to manage and resolve conflict situations
