Sr Data Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Sr . Quality Assurance Specialist , you will: Monitor and analyze key metrics to ensure data integrity and identify potential issues within data environments. Operate and enhance the data regression testing framework, ensuring it provides accurate and actionable results. Identify and escalate issues to the data engineering team for prompt resolution. Pair with data engineers during the development process, providing quality-focused insights and support to prevent potential defects. Develop and execute test plans and strategies for new data solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality assurance processes, test cases, and outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data quality requirements and ensure they are met in the final deliverables. Continuously improve quality assurance processes, leveraging automation and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Must-Have Experience: 4 years of experience in data quality assurance, data testing, or a related role. Deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures. Hands-on experience with data regression testing frameworks and tools. Proven ability to generate and monitor key metrics to assess data quality and system stability. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data validation and testing. Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks for data quality (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests). Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake or Azure . Understanding of CI/CD practices and their role in maintaining data quality. Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and articulate data issues effectively. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive approach to pairing with engineers. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address quality challenges. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in data quality or testing methodologies are a plus. Nice to Have: Experience in a retail or fashion industry environment, with insight into specific data challenges. Familiarity with data governance practices and their integration into quality assurance processes. Exposure to DataOps principles and their application in modern data platforms.
