This role is a Software Engineering Senior Manager within our PBM Plus Technology Organization. Within this role we will ask you to cultivate an empowered team of high performing engineers who are deeply passionate about building quality software products. You will foster ongoing agile engineering transformation and continuous improvement throughout the organization, advocating for common engineering patterns, efficiency, quality, resiliency, security and performance. The Software Engineering Senior Manager leads a medium scale, fast moving agile team, working with the internally developed tools and technologies such as Java/J2EE,Springboot, Oracle, SQL, SOA/REST, Cloud Technologies, ITIL. They also managethe planning and delivery of a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake which store all critical data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client and Benefits data for a business unit. This role focuses on achievement of departmental goals, plays a significant part in achieving functional goals, and will require strong matrix relationships with business partners, peer engineering teams, architects, infrastructure engineers, etc. Responsibilities: Foster ongoing agile engineering transformation and continuous improvement throughout the organization, advocating for common engineering patterns, efficiency, quality, resiliency, security and performance Lead a fast moving agile team, working with the internally developed tools and technologies such asJava/J2EE,Springboot, Oracle, SQL, SOA/REST, Cloud Technologies, ITIL Analyze advanced, distributed solutions that process, store, and quickly retrieve huge volumes of data and identify root cause Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions Understand the Business and the Application Architecture End to End Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code. Lead daily team standup meetings where you'll give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges. Design and develop a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake which store all critical data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client and Benefits data Provides thought leadership and technical expertise across the PBM technology organization Utilize end-to-end knowledge of product ecosystem, business transactions, technology stack, dependencies, and engineering practices to ensure applications are designed and constructed using solid engineering patterns Encourage innovation and diversity of thought to solve complex business problems Partner with business and technical product owners to optimize working relationships and clarify roles and responsibilities Takes accountability for the technology assets owned by the team. Keep a pulse on industry trends and help the organization envision what is possible Qualifications Required Skills: Experience in,Java / J2EE,Springboot, Oracle, SQL, SOA/REST, Cloud Technologies, ITIL Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong influencing / negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills. Strong time and project management skills. Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership. Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example. Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and lead cross-functionally Required Experience & Education: 10 Years of professional experience including people leader. Must have a Bachelor of computer engineering degree Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model. Proven experience leading/managing technical teams with a passion for the developing the talent within the team.
