Job Description

Minimum Requirement: Matric/Grade12 certificate. Legal Qualification (Degree or Diploma) Valid driver’s licences. Solid understanding of laws and regulations related to Compliance.  Personality trades: Effective communication, both verbal and written. Ability to identify risks and devise solutions. Demonstrated the capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various teams and departments. Commitment to ethics and integrity by handling sensitive information and compliance matters. Strong commitment to customer service. Attention to detail. Effectively conveying data and engaging with individuals across various levels within the organisation. strong orientation towards continuous improvement.  Responsibilities: Ensure that franchisees comply with organizational policies, expectations, and procedures. Monitoring legal requirements such as: National Credit Act (NCA) Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Value Added Tax (VAT) Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) etc. Conduct thorough compliance reviews of franchise stores, providing detailed feedback to franchisees and identifying areas of both compliance and non-compliance. Develop corrective action plans, complete with timelines and responsible parties, to address any identified issues and ensure effective resolution.  Stay updated on amendments to relevant acts in the Second-Hand Goods and Credit Industries, communicating changes to franchisees. Present regular reports to management on compliance reviews, proposing improvement actions. Manage a robust compliance and legal review program, regularly updating it for new legislations and regulations. Implement internal controls in stores to mitigate compliance risks across various business areas. Conduct thorough training sessions for franchisees on compliance matters to enhance their understanding of relevant laws and procedures. Positive relationships with franchisees, emphasizing trust and mutual understanding in compliance matters. Verify the proper implementation of the brand's guarantee policy, warranty procedures, and other company-wide standards. Review stock administration, cash handling, merchandising, and sales practices in stores to ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate on special projects and additional duties as directed by the Compliance Manager.
