Job Description

Area/Location: Germiston Overview: As the Production Factory Manager, you will oversee the manufacturing operations of scaffolding, Racking Shelving, and Formwork. You will lead a team of 13 Production Managers and ensure that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Additionally, you will provide technical input on new projects and products as needed. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 13 Production Managers and departmental staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the achievement of production goals. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize manufacturing efficiency and meet customer demand. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and R&D, to provide technical input on new projects and product development. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff. Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials and components for production. Analyze production data and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Resolve any production-related issues or conflicts in a timely and effective manner. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in manufacturing of Scaffolding, Racking Shelving and Formwork. Strong technical knowledge of scaffolding, racking shelving, and formwork manufacturing processes. Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results. Solid understanding of quality management systems and safety regulations. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing software applications. Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
