Azure Data Engineer – Johannesburg – up to R1mil per annum

A long serving bank known as Africa''s biggest lender of assets and financial services group committed to providing banking insurance and asset management services have an open role for a Cloud Data Engineer to execute data engineering duties according to the standards, frameworks, and roadmaps of the bank. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complete data architecture across several application platforms Analyse data elements and systems Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data Build, create, manage and optimise data pipelines Create data tooling, enabling data consumers in building and optimising data consumption Execute on the design, definition and development of (API''s) Develop across several application platforms Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes Knowledge of integration patterns, styles, protocols and systems Liaise and collaborate with technology colleagues and country data teams to understand viable data solutions within architectural guidelines Qualifications and Experience: Degree in business commerce, information studies, information technology 5-7 years experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting and data integration solutions 6 - 8years deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation 6 years experience in database programming languages Strong Azure skills Experience in Power BI Python The Reference Number for this position is NG58078 which is a Permanent Hybrid position in Johannesburg offering a salary from R800k to R1Mil CTC salary negotiable based on experience.
