Operations Manager (Expat)

Our client is looking for a highly efficient and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the warehousing segment of their transportation business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations and ensuring seamless coordination between warehousing and transportation services to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the warehouse, including goods in, storage, and dispatch, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes. Implement strategic warehouse management tactics that align with overall company goals in transportation and logistics. Oversee the maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance. Develop and enforce safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies to create a safe workplace for all employees. Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure inventory systems are accurate and up-to-date. Optimize inventory levels and storage layouts to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs. Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a positive environment with high levels of engagement and performance. Collaborate with other department managers to streamline processes and integrate logistics with business systems. Monitor KPIs, prepare performance reports, and implement improvements to warehouse processes based on data-driven insights. Manage budgeting, cost management, and necessary financial activities concerning warehouse operations. Key Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Profound knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software (e.g., ERP). Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Proficient in standard logistics software. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate under pressure and manage stress effectively. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry. Proven track record of managing warehouse teams and improving operational processes. Certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
