Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set annual sales budgets by sales agent/agencies - Monitor and manage achievement of sales budget with each sales agent/agency - Assess callage efficiencies for each sales agent area - Monitor and manager sales team activities using Repsly tool - Report on activities to the National Sales Executive - Relationship building with non-key account customers - Business development and growth of customer base - Communicate national promotions to sales staff - Do trade visits with or without sales staff and give report to National Sales Manager - Attend and assist with applicable trade shows in the region - Monthly report back on sales for the region - Ongoing staff development - Continuous product training of sales team - Run outcomes based monthly sales meetings, with targeted objectives in line with the business strategy - Manage stock requirements for the region - Manage sales agencies in the region - Manage regional expenses within approved budget - Ensure merchandising staff is aware of merchandising requirements and maintain shelves as such - Ensure adequate shelf space is allocated based on rate of sale - Make use of cross merchandising where applicable - Provide training to merchandise staff - Escalate merchandising complaints to relevant persons in store - Monitor if complaints have been resolved - Ensure merchandising staff is merchandising stock in storeroom - Ensure PI labels are correct - Regular store visits with RSM and Agents to inspect shelves, display, etc. - Perform any other adhoc duties as and when assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Matric is essential A Tertiary qualification in Sales & Marketing or equivalent will be advantageous - Must have serviced wholesale customers - Minimum 5 years experience sales management within retail, with a focus on planning, budgets, forecasts and sales reporting. - Ability to analyse data and present data in a professional manner - Excellent customer relation skills - Excellent negotiation and presentation skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes - Excellent organizational and leadership skills - Must be willing to travel nationally - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
