Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As the role has a high level of integration across the business, the incumbent will need to partner with the sales, operations and finance teams to: - Develop and manage marketing strategy for current and new agreed market opportunities, define the implementation process, report on the success of projects, and propose corrective actions if necessary. - Develop and implement appropriate policies, procedures, and systems in the department to ensure best practice processes to ensure the effective functioning of the department and reduce the risk of business loss. - Develop, manage and implement the brand strategy to ensure and manage the integrity and usage of the brand internally and externally across all mediums. - Manage the internal and external Corporate Identity and Communications Strategy. - Grow the brand by identifying new market opportunities based on solid market research and profit projections. - Manage the P&L, trade spend budget and ensure monthly tracking and reporting. - Forecasting with relevant teams. - Management of all related marketing financial budgets. - Management of the client's website and social media content. - Manage / Oversee all social activity on all channels. - Manage external marketing service providers. - Manage B2B and B2C - Manage campaign artwork. - Manage new product development cycle to commercialization. - Present and share ideas, results and gaps analyses across teams. - Track SEO and Google Analytics data and make complex analysis. - Build an inbound & outbound marketing plan. - Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement. - Monitor, adjust and report using data, presenting back to leadership through visualization and insights. - Identify and define opportunities to constructively influence shopper behaviours uniquely based on channel and medium. - Identify opportunities for competitive advantage and/or areas of risk for our brands through rigorous monitoring and assessment of customer and competitor visibility and impact at all shopper touch-points. Retailer specific shopper engagement opportunities through understanding of distinct shopper and mission profiles and shopper engagement strengths. - Review and develop marketing plans to stimulate category participation incorporating into the annual brand plans. - Define and set annual business KPIs/milestones for shopper engagement programs by channel. - Manage customised category/customer solutions based on identified areas of growth. - Track performance/ROI on total campaigns as well as ensure the timely production and delivery of physical elements, working across design and production agencies in collaboration with the operations team. - Management of technical marketing team. - Perform other adhoc duties as and when required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - A Degree in Marketing or equivalent is essential - Significant experience (5 year) in Marketing and/or Brand Management within the FMCG industry - Proven extensive experience in a Leadership role - Experience in activations and shopper campaigns within Modern Trade as well as Traditional/Route to (informal) Markets. - Proven marketing management experience with strong ownership - Experience launching marketing initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter); - Experience in sales and /or category development advantageous - Previous team or project leadership experience with emphasis on managing projects as well as creative agencies and production agencies. - Detailed understanding of consumer, shopper and customer needs/dynamics - Previous experience managing large budgets and relevant monthly processes
