Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for precision and teamwork? Join our dynamic team. We are seeking a Financial Accountant who can handle a variety of accounting tasks and support our finance manager. BCom(Acc), BAcc, CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, CGISA (with Accounting subjects), or other recognized accounting degree/qualification At least 5 years of accounting experience Proficiency with Excel, MS Word, and a recognized accounting package (Sage Evolution is an advantage) Skills and Attributes: Attention to detail with the ability to plan and organize effectively Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels with tact and diplomacy High level of work ethic and integrity Strong customer service ethic Ability to use initiative and work without supervision Manage cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and deposit allocations Invoice students, members, and the public Assist with trial balances, annual financial statements, and management accounts Support the external audit process Compile departmental budgets Perform VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and payments Schedule examiner and contractor payments Maintain and update the suppliers list Oversee BBBEE certification process Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers Process payments and debit orders on Standard Bank’s business online platform Complete and submit vendor forms Communicate with stakeholders and respond to financial queries Provide support to the finance manager in all finance-related tasks
