Software Development Engineer - Talend

About the Role : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Talend Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in building and maintaining data integration pipelines for our client. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong understanding of ETL processes, Talend Studio, and experience working with relational databases. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using Talend Studio. - Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources (databases, flat files, APIs) to data warehouses or target systems. - Develop reusable Talend Jobs and components for efficient data processing. - Write clean and maintainable code (Java Scripting preferred) within Talend Jobs. - Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality. - Troubleshoot and debug data integration issues to ensure smooth data flow. - Document ETL processes for future reference and maintenance. - Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Talend technologies and best practices. Requirements : - 5 to 9 years of experience in data integration or a related field. - Strong understanding of data integration concepts and ETL processes. - Proficiency in Talend Studio for designing and developing data flows. - Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, AS400/DB2, Azure SQL Server, etc.) and data warehouses. - Ability to write and understand scripts, preferably in Java or Python. - Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query writing. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in a team environment.
