IT Business Analyst

Knowledge & Experience - Matric - Relevant tertiary business qualification/s Experience - 3 years of writing of software functional specifications - 3 years of writing of software business requirement specifications - 3 years of Business Analysis in the field of application (Software) design and Business Intelligence. - 3 years experience working/design/implementation of databases and SQL scripting - 3 years experience with integrations to and from customized as well as packaged software. These integrations can be hardware as well as software orientated. - Related Tertiary B Degree and/or Business analysis courses - Product Analysis experience - Data testing experience - At least 3 years experience in: o Retail and banking solutions o Facilitating workshops with customers, including GAP analysis, documentation and spec writing. o Understanding of the customers expectations o Understanding of banking Specifications and Standards o Understanding of the banking environment o Understanding of banking Best Practises and basic accounting skills o Good knowledge of general management practices o Good understanding of key financial and commercial factors o Good working practical knowledge of SQL scripts and SQL architecture o Strong Project Management knowledge o Good understanding of the total TCR business model o In depth knowledge of the customer business environments Skills / Abilities required doing the job - Good people skills - Customer service orientated - Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills - Ability to analyse customer needs and devise solutions - Excellent decision making skills - An ability to handle pressure - Strong problem-solving and conflict-handling skills Personal attributes required for this job - Team player - Goal-driven and ambitious - Strong business acumen - Analytical thinker - Proactive - Passion for customers - Good listener - Dynamic and adaptable - Good self-discipline and control Job specific requirements - Requires flexibility to work long hours and after hours - Requires overnight travel away from home from time to time - Own vehicle (petrol reimbursed according to policy)
