About The Role: The Financial Analyst will partner with stakeholders to drive financial insights used to make decisions while enhancing the capabilities of financial systems. The candidate will work closely with the Manger of FP&A to deliver annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses by building and maintaining financial models. This individual will also be responsible for enhancing the capabilities of finance systems (and integrated systems) by creating and improving dashboards, custom reports, and system driven processes. This includes assisting with new system implementations and ensuring that cross-functional systems are integrated as intended. This role is a hybrid position where you'll be required to come into our office twice a week. The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who: is seeking coaching and mentorship to further enhance their technical skills and professional development, is interested in assuming a role that has a variety of tasks and responsibilities, has a good understanding of technical accounting knowledge and experience with finance systems, is detail-oriented and strives to provide accurate information which results in quality work produced, is process oriented and enjoys understanding “how things work” to assess and improve existing workflows, enjoys working collaboratively within a finance team and cross-functionally, effectively switches focus between multiple projects and routine tasks, when needed, comfortable with prioritizing tasks and projects when there are competing due dates, comfortable working independently when given good instruction and coaching, takes great pride in their work and career. Tasks and Responsibilities: Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting Gather, validate, and enter inputs and assumptions utilized for financial models during various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts, monthly rolling financial models, and ad-hoc planning scenarios). Ownership and maintenance of the operating expense model for the purposes of budgeting and forecasting and partnering with department decision makers. Enhance and maintain the inventory forecast model in a timely manner and review with purchasing and customer onboarding stakeholders. Ensure that the model provides a clear plan of purchasing activities related to hardware components provided to customers based on the revenue forecast. Provide department decision makers with visibility of current period spend vs budget, forecast and prior periods on a monthly basis. Deliver deeper insights into spending by investigating variances and providing commentary. Develop and/or maintain various financial models to support decision-making for various strategic initiatives. Maintain daily dashboards within finance systems to provide real-time visibility of key performance indicators to senior management. Work collaboratively with the Manager FP&A and Manager Financial Reporting to enhance month-end reporting that is delivered to senior management. Provide a full picture of organization results, which includes financial and non-financial performance. Assist the Manager FP&A and other finance leaders with board reporting and budget / forecast presentation decks. Load annual budgets and quarterly forecasts into the finance ERP system (Sage Intacct). Assist in the creation and calculation of key performance indicators. Report on results as needed. Finance Transformation Become a subject matter expert of Sage Intacct related to dashboard and report building. Partake in additional training and courses, as needed. Create custom reports in Sage Intacct (and other finance systems) as needed and requested from stakeholders. Create and maintain Sage Intacct (and other finance systems) dashboards as needed and requested, which are utilized by senior management, department decision makers, and inter-finance personnel. Improve and support the maintenance of current integrations between Sage Intacct and other systems across the organization. Ensure that documentation exists to support system processes and procedures. Assist with new system project implementations within the finance department and cross-functionally. Stay current with quarterly ERP feature releases to assess the impact to the iLobby finance function. Other Assist with other tasks within the finance function, as needed. Support other finance team members with their tasks during absences such as sick days, vacations, etc. Ad-hoc financial and non-financial analysis and reporting, as required. Qualification Requirements: University business degree with a specialization in accounting (or other relevant field of study). CPA or working towards completing CPA. 1-2 years of relevant employment experience, preferably in a Financial Analyst or Accountant role. Past employment with a medium to large organization is preferred. Past employment with an employer in the software industry is preferred. Intermediate level knowledge of excel (SUMIFs, pivot tables, index match, etc.). Experience using finance systems to build and generate reports. Experience with Sage Intacct is a bonus. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
