Role Title: Machine Learning Manager Position Summary: A great opportunity with Evernorth to join AI CoE team which is transforming healthcare and improving the lives and vitality of the millions of members we serve in Cigna. We leverage cutting edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to develop solutions for automated document processing and customer service chat bots. Your focus will be managing a diverse AI team and developing the best fit solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions. Job Description & Responsibilities: Recruiting, training, and managing a diverse group of professionals, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists. Responsible for evaluating the performance of their team members, providing feedback, and helping team members set and achieve performance goals. Envisioning the project's scope and objectives, collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translating these insights into a clear and actionable project plan. This involves identifying how AI can make an impact and creating a roadmap to transform those aspirations into reality. Leading the team of AI engineers and utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Open Source, Machine Learning, and numerical programming frameworks, to build transformative solutions. Understanding of AI Models, Large Language Models, and AI specialized infrastructure especially as it relates to AI trends and issues within businesses. Participate in ongoing monitoring and measurement of GenAI technology solutions effectiveness, providing insights and suggestions for continuous improvement. Supporting the Product Development as a Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) subject matter expert and architect and develop scalable, resilient, ethical AI solutions. Experience Required: 12 years of overall experience and at least 7 years in AI and related field. At least 5 years of experience in managing a team of at least 15 employees and have experience in technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. Experience Desired: Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras is a plus. Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools, such as SpaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face is a plus. Education and Training Required: Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. Primary Skills: Full stack experience with good hands on programming experience in C/C++, Java, Python and some knowledge for UI/UX technologies like Angular / React etc. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Additional Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. Possess a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
