Mainframe Programming Analyst - JCL/COBOL

Role & Responsibilities : - Over 10 years of hands-on experience in delivering Mainframe solutions. - Analyse the existing Mainframe code written in COBOL, JClL, DB2 - Document the orchestration and dependencies between programs. - Create source to target mappings with business transformation logic for every COBOL program which will enable the project team to migrate the mainframe program to cloud native solutions - Provide a walkthrough of every program along with source to target mapping to the project team Primary Skills/Must have : - Must demonstrate strong technical and business leadership skills - Strong Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS experience - Experience in analysing and developing mainframe programs - Experience in MQ and DB2-stored procedure - Experience creating/consuming data in relational database environments (preferably DB2, SQL) - Proficiency in utilities such as SORT, Compare, IDCAMS and IEB utilities - Detail oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with high degree of accuracy - Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents - Good time management skills : - Ability to prioritize and multitask, handling multiple efforts at once Strong written and oral communications skills are a must Secondary Skills/Desired skills : - Experience in REXX and Easytrieve. - Exposure to tools such as Changeman. - Know how of Native stored procedures - Good to have experience in CICS web services. - Have experience in a retail domain (ref:hirist.tech)
