Job Description

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 (Matric). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance. A, N, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP Associate accreditation advantageous. Good Communication Skills. Attention to detail. Problem solving. Multi-Tasking and Time Management. Ability to function under pressure. Target driven. Self-Motivated individual. Reporting skills. Willingness to learn. Ability to work well within team, supporting other team members. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Set up and manage user accounts and permissions to consent access to a network. Upholding and testing security and where applicable by blocking unapproved access. Providing access and troubleshooting multiple different software programs used by the business. Call out maintenance plans for the prevention of unexpected failures. Set up the Organizations computer systems to meet specific business goals. Monitor day to day computer performance. Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment. Offering end user support. Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN/Wi Fi/ VoIP/telephone/biometric/AV systems connections and more. Maintain and ensure the latest updates are installed for the antivirus on all computers. Ensure desktop computers interconnection seamlessly with diverse system keeping in mind for compatibility factors. Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software. Endorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durability. Assess functional needs to regulate system purchase specifications. Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues. Validate & approve VPN access for all remote users. Setting up and configuring network Switches and preventing loops with zero to none downtime. Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining of entire desktop systems. Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems. Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues raised. Ensuring electrical safety standards are met. Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
