Hybrid Cloud Engineer

ENVIRONMENT: MONITOR company and customer systems for signs of failure, irregularity, or opportunities for improvement as your technical expertise is sought to fill the role of a Hybrid Cloud Engineer by a fast-paced global provider of Managed Service and Cloud Solutions. You will be responsible for supporting customers either as a point of escalation from the Service Desk Analyst, Cloud Command Centre or in conjunction with other Specialist teams within Operations. Working with the Hybrid Cloud Team, you will mentor and develop Junior Engineers to assist their growth and distribute high-level technical knowledge to all levels of other teams. You will require at least 3 years of 2 nd Line hands-on experience in an Infrastructure support role with AZ-800: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure, AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, VMware, vSphere, Hyper-V, Active Directory, etc. DUTIES: Monitor company and customer systems for signs of failure, irregularity, or opportunities for improvement. Log tickets on the ITSM system for new incidents, changes, problems, and requests and maintain regular updates until full resolution. Inform customers when an incident or problem occurs and provide regular updates until full resolution. Investigate and resolve incidents in company and customer systems. Act as a point of escalation for support calls which cannot be resolved by more junior teams. Perform routine maintenance tasks on company and customer systems to ensure they are secure, up-to-date and in line with industry standards. Train and mentor peers and Juniors. Maintain accurate documentation on company and customer systems/environments. Escalate to vendors as necessary if timely resolution of an incident or problem is not possible. Respond to all customer, partner and supplier requests, telephone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner. Ensure target SLAs for response and resolution times are met. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 3 years of 2nd Line hands-on experience in an Infrastructure support role. AZ-800: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure. AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator. Backup Solutions (Veritas NetBackup, Veeam). Windows Server (2008 2022). Desktop Support (Windows 10 11). Management of Microsoft Exchange in a Hybrid environment. Virtualisation Suites and Technology (VMware, vSphere, Hyper-V). Active Directory (On-Prem and Hybrid setup). Azure Fundamentals (including but not limited to troubleshooting Sentinel alerts). Office 365 Linux Command Line (SUSE Enterprise, Ubuntu, Red Hat). Advantageous Networking. Storage Devices (Nexsan, NetApp or EMC). Tape Libraries (Dell ML6000 or Dell ML3). Microsoft SQL. NDMP. Fiber Channel / iSCSI. ServiceNow. ITIL Foundation. ATTRIBUTES: Logical approach to problem-solving. Excellent interpersonal skills with good time management. Proven customer service and communication skills.
