Application Development Senior Advisor

Position Summary: The Enterprise Operations Analytics (EOA) organization supports the data and analytical needs of Cignas Enterprise Operations. As a center of excellence for best practices in Data Engineering, Web Application Development, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence, the team brings together data from customer contact centers, client benefit design / install, provider solutions/network operations, print/digital communications, and beyond in novel ways to provide actionable insights to business partners ranging from front-line Prior Authorization Representatives and Patient Care Advocates to Senior Leadership. The Software Engineering Senior Advisor will provide web development support for our projects. They will be responsible for helping plan, develop, and deploy web-based solutions in support for Cignas Enterprise Operations. They will be responsible for partnering with key players in Customer Service, Client Service, Provider Service, and Workforce Planning, while drawing on support from Technology, Finance, Strategy, Operational Readiness, and Solutions Delivery. Job Description & Responsibilities : Work with Enterprise Operations Analytics Leadership, Information Technology, as well as internal customers to design and implement platform-level enhancements delivering improved ease-of-use, new developer-empowering features Enable the delivery of interactive, data-driven applications to enhance throughput, reduce cost, and improve quality within Enterprise Operations. Mentor junior developers in Angular, .NET, .NET Core, and other components of the tech stack Work within and help junior developers understand Agile software development practices. Enhance/troubleshoot existing infrastructure and applications to support evolving business needs. Attain and share subject matter expertise in the platform itself, the Information Technology infrastructure on which it depends, as well as the business processes and outcomes it seeks to improve. Proactively conduct root-cause analyses and identify and implement enhancement opportunities associated with the supported platform and its component applications. Present results and/or recommendations to internal stakeholders as needed. Create, communicate, and adhere to development timelines. Balance and prioritize projects across a wide development portfolio. Assist the team in opportunistically evolving and improving the overall technology stack. Maintain consistent focus on maximizing value delivered through team activity. Experience Required: 10 years of relevant software engineering experience Experience Desired: Strong understanding of C#, .NET CORE Experience with Data Visualization JS libraries (Chart.js, ECharts, or equivalent) Strong understanding of with Angular 12 and above Strong understanding of Relational Databases (MSSQL, Oracle, etc) Ability to multitask and shift priorities Experience with cloud (AWS, OpenShift) Experience with Containers and Container Orchestration (EKS, ECS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or equivalent) Primary Skills: Experience with GIT Experience with Agile Methodology (Jirra or equivalent) Additional Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills Experience working with IT partners and coordinating releases, updates, and changes Experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy, Contact Center, and / or Print / Digital Communication
