Linux Migration Engineer - SAS/NAS

Job Description : - The candidate should be open to working during non-standard hours and on weekends, as per the change window requirements. Candidate should have a strong understanding of Linux, core server management concepts, Logical Volume Manager (LVM), Clustering, and Storage concepts. A minimum of 15 years of experience in these areas is required. - 10 years of experience in UNIX/Linux infrastructure. - Expert level knowledge of Linux ( Solaris/AIX knowledge is preferred ) - Expert knowledge of Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) - Very Good understanding of SAN/NAS setup for Linux/Unix Servers. - Strong knowledge to support SAN/NAS Migrations. - Experience / Troubleshooting TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NFS. - Experience in VMware/ESX servers to configure and support Linux VM's - Ability to develop Shell Scripts as per requirements. - Effective in dealing with Crisis calls/Critical issues for business critical services - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills , Ability to work under pressure, takes ownership, time management and delivers to commitments. - Very good communications and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively as a team player. Proven experience in managing and building relationship with business partners and customer service. - Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
