SAP Solution Delivery Expert : Data Migration Position Summary : In this position as SAP Solution Delivery Expert - S4 Data Migration the incumbent will manage entire SAP data migration for S4 Greenfield deployments. The expert will work with business and IT stakeholders to identify right dataset, gather it from various sources, cleans and transform based on new solution, conduct data validations with business, create migration programs and test these programs, use ETL programs and tools to complete data migration and business validations. Help translating and implementing policies into operational procedures for data migration and data governance in future. You will in this role be part of a Global Team and work with our global stakeholders. The position will partner with SAP Functional and technical delivery teams, IT Business Solutions team to deliver and continuously improve and maintain the high standards of application. Job Objective : Working with diverse teams and global stakeholders, SAP Solution Delivery Expert - S4 Data Migration will deliver SAP data migration and governance on SAP ECC, S4 platforms. The data migration expert will work with business and S4 deployment project team. Will collaborate with various business leaders to identify data sources, technical options of ETL, build and configure the ETL tools (mainly BODS) and then validate data at each stage with business. Expert will own design and setup of overall data migration stream. In long term, the data migration expert will also work on designing and implementing SAP MDG and information steward solutions for master data governance. Contribute towards the design and implementation of SAP technical standards and processes for data migration as well as master data governance areas. Expert will also drive continuous improvement on SAP platforms architectural, technical standards, bring in and implement best in class practices for data migration and governance, and influence IT policies and procedures to enable the same. Job responsibilities : - Identify data migration scope and entities in detail working with S4 project and business team - Define, monitor and ensure and end to end data migration process to deliver S4 Greenfield deployment - Define and design processes for data related requirements gathering, data extraction from identified sources, data cleansing, data transformation to meet new S4 design requirements for subject data entities, data loading and validations with business and project teams. - Understand and leverage SAP BODS and other migration tools to deliver ETL objectives with appropriate build-test-deploy SDLC activities during implementation - Own and coordinate data validations with business for all relevant data entities - Manage progress tracking for various stages of project for data migration stream showing progress, gaps, improvements needed etc. along with relevant solution. - Troubleshoot day to day issues related to migration programs and migration exercise. - Work with internal and external project team members to deliver various project milestones as per agreed plans. - Contribute towards planning and delivering overall program with stream specific plan, progress, issue tracking and risk management. - Work with business and IT team to transform S4 data migration stream to Master Data Governance objectives and its best practices leveraging solutions like MDG and information steward - Provides insights and contribute towards ensuring right Data solution and architecture across functional streams of SAP-MM, SD, PP and FI. - Demonstrate technology thought leadership by evaluating new technologies and platforms to identify opportunities for improving the SAP environment, developing SAP technology roadmap for SAP Data Migration and Master Data Governance in line with organization's system requirements and SAP product developments. Drive best utilization of SAP investments especially on Solution Manager. - Ensure high quality, up-to-date documentation and reliable knowledge base on data migration processes and tools. Create & maintain documentation on system configurations, maintenance processes. (e. g. Technical Architecture Documents, Standard Operating Procedures & Execution Process Documents) - Drive continuous operational excellence by creating reports, analysing and interpreting data, tracking lead times/SLA/KPIs and recurring issues etc. Analyse trends based on key issues identified through report and feedbacks. Identify underlying problem areas and work towards fixing the same for both technical solution as well as service delivery processes. - Identify and implement innovation and automation opportunities for delivery/ monitoring and day to day system governance processes; implement right toolsets, make most out of SAP investments, identify opportunities to reduce TCO for SAP, drive the function to become more scalable to meet business growth at rapid pace Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience : - 8 years of experience in SAP data migration leadership. Strong knowledge of SAP technology and platform, including experience with S/4HANA data migration. - Experience and hand-on knowledge for master data and transactional data in SAP MM or SD or FICO modules. - Extensive experience in ETL using SAP BODS and SAP IS with respect to SAP Master / Transaction Data Objects in SAP FICO, SAP SD, SAP MM, EWM etc. is desirable - Hands on experience with SAP ABAP and other SAP tools like S4HANA Data Migration Cockpit, BODS, BDC programming and LSMWs. Knowledge of SAP MDG and Information Steward will be added advantage. - ETLs, Technical skills in SQL, Database (SQL) knowledge, database management, business intelligence, data mining, mass data processing. - Hands-on experience in executing large End-to-End Implementations / S4 deployment programs. - Experienced in engaging and partnering with internal customers, teams and suppliers to deliver business systems and processes. - Experienced on delivering work using Agile, waterfall methodologies. Has good knowledge of how to operate in Agile, Scrum, SAFe setups. - Experienced as hands on Data migration lead/ team member in defining SAP S4 data migration scope, defining data extraction/transformation and migration strategies/approaches, ability to do detailed planning and estimations, ability to build programs and take lead in managing data validations with business. - Ability to articulate and resolve timelines for various implementation and cutover activities, serving as technical point and SME for area of responsibilities. - Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively. Ability to build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuous professional learning of SAP products. - Highly proactive, self-organized, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good written/verbal communications in English. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - SAP MM / SD certification, ETL tools, SCM certifications, ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, SAFe certifications desired but not mandatory Work Timing & Location : - Office - Pimple Saudagar, Pune, India. Current Flexible office presence policy - 4 days/week - Typical Working Hours - start between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM IST.
