Data Engineer - Matillion/Snowflake DB

Experience : Total 4 Years of experience Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days Location : Pune Job Title : Data Engineer (Snowflake and Matillion) Job Description : Overview : - Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and Matillion to support our data integration, transformation, and analytics initiatives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define data models, and develop solutions that meet business needs. - Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake data warehouse for analysis and reporting purposes. - Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, Snowflake, and Matillion to drive continuous improvement and innovation. 1. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design. 2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. 3. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 4. Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. 5. Develop ETL processes to transform and cleanse data as per business requirements. 6. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and integrity. 7. Work closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to provide them with clean and reliable datasets. 8. Document data pipelines, processes, and workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference. 9. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud technologies. 10. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and Matillion. 11. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. 12. Architect data models and schemas for optimal performance and efficiency within Snowflake. 13. Implement data integration solutions to ingest data from various sources into Snowflake. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience in building and managing data pipelines using Snowflake and Matillion. - Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data warehouse solutions. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Experience with scripting languages like Python for data manipulation and automation. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications : - Snowflake or Matillion certification(s) is a plus. - Experience with other ETL tools and technologies such as Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi. (ref:hirist.tech)
