Head - Software Development

About the Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Software Development to lead our talented team of engineers in building high-quality, innovative software solutions. As the head of the team, you will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance. You will provide technical leadership, mentor your team, and ensure the efficient and successful delivery of software projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the software development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Define technical vision and roadmap for the software development function, aligning with the overall business goals. Work closely with product managers, vendors, and stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize features, and ensure clear communication throughout the development process. Develop and implement software development methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Recruit, hire, and mentor talented software engineers or application developers, fostering their professional development. Establish and maintain high coding standards and best practices within the team with a focus towards application security. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Identify and implement new technologies to improve software development processes and products. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Represent the software development team in meetings with senior management, and partner with CTO & CISO to lead the software development strategy and execution for the enterprise. Vendor Management & negotiation skills on multiple : Minimum 10 years of experience in software development leadership roles. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). In-depth knowledge of software development best practices and coding standards, including best practices in developing, adding, and testing security features to applications Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to mentor and coach software engineers. Experience in building and managing high-performing teams. Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A passion for technology and innovation. Bonus Points : Experience in .Net with knowledge of C# and HTML5/CSS3 Familiarity with SQL Server and Design/architectural patterns like MVC Familiarity with APIs (REST, RPC), JSON, XML, Web Services, Ajax Added advantage if knowledge of JQUERY, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, SharePoint, My-SQL, PS-SQL An understanding of Market knowledge in CASH and Future & Options, Currency Competencies : Excellent Troubleshooting and communication skills Live the company values.
