Senior Data Engineer - ETL/Talend

Work Timing : 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM (Flexible in work timings) Work Location : Chennai (Hybrid) Responsibilities : - Developing and architecting data integrations: building highly reliable processes, processing large volumes of data performantly, and working with AWS and GCP technologies. - Understand the data being delivered, its uses, and applications. - Partner with our business users to understand their requirements and interactions with the data platform to ensure quality products and smooth day-to-day operation. - Own the full scope of the assigned projects, including liaising with the business to gather requirements, designing the solution, and building and delivering completed functionality to production. Skills Required : - 5 years of Java development experience - ETL - 3 years of Talend experience, especially troubleshooting underlying code and/or custom components - Strong experience in SQL - Strong Data Modeling skills - Prior experience with development on top of RDBMS tech stack. - Experience in GCP (Big Query, GCS) or AWS (Redshift, S3). - Good experience building reusable frameworks - Analytical skills - Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions - Documentation skills - the ability to represent ideas, requirements, and problems in clear and concise documents - A love of data, data munging, and care about building the right abstractions General skills and qualities : - SDLC - Agile - Source control - CI/CD - Excellent verbal and written communication - Desire to learn and grow (ref:hirist.tech)
