Roles & Resonsibilities : Data Modeling : - Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and ensure data integrity, consistency, and efficiency. Database Design : - Designing and implementing database solutions that meet the organization's needs, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and compliance. Data Integration : - Developing strategies and solutions for integrating data from various sources, including databases, applications, APIs, and third-party systems, to ensure data consistency and accuracy across the organization. Data Governance : - Establishing and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Data Security : - Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats, including encryption, access controls, and data masking techniques. Data Architecture Design : - Defining the overall data architecture strategy and roadmap, including the selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to support current and future business needs. Data Warehousing : - Designing and building data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting requirements, including data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data storage optimization. Data Migration : - Planning and executing data migration projects to transfer data between systems, platforms, or cloud environments while minimizing downtime, data loss, and disruption to business operations. Performance Optimization : - Identifying and resolving performance issues related to data storage, retrieval, processing, and analysis through database tuning, indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques. Collaboration : - Collaborating with stakeholders, including business users, analysts, developers, and IT teams, to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment between data architecture solutions and business objectives. Documentation : - Creating and maintaining documentation, such as data dictionaries, data lineage diagrams, and technical specifications, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure the integrity of the data architecture. Continuous Improvement : - Staying informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data management and architecture, and recommending improvements or enhancements to existing systems and processes.
