HSE Manager Support Services SHE

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB The core purpose of the post is to provide strategic leadership in the implement of the Health, Safety and Environmental management strategy at Nelson Mandela University to ensure that there is a high level of compliance towards SHE legislations and other relevant requirements. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS SHE Governance; Incident Management; HSE Audits and Compliance; Staff Awareness Contract Management; Trusted Business Partner CORE COMPETENCIES Leadership and strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. Demonstrated good project management skills. Proven strong analytical, conceptualizing and problem-solving skills. Experience in writing reports. Proven ability to manage and motivate team. Experience in the strategic and innovative application of technology in operations. Customer service orientation; and Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory HSE Policies and Acts. REQUIREMENTS Relevant M3 qualifications - B degree or National Diploma in Safety Management or Environmental Science/Management or any related field; and 3-5 Years relevant management experience SAMTRAC and NEBOSH would be an added advantage SAIOSH and HPCSA Registrations Nelson Mandela University reserves the right not to make an appointment.
