Dispatch Shift Supervisor Roodepoort

The responsibilities for the position would be focused on the supervision of and control over the work activities on a shift under your supervision. It will include the following: Supervising daily work flow and ensuring that all required daily activities are completed Handling Stock control including Daily Cycle Counts and Stock Takes Completion of Daily, Weekly & Monthly Reports Overseeing the maintenance and utilisation of delivery vehicles whilst on shift Controlling and managing all warehouse and distribution costs related to his shift responsibilities Ensuring accurate receipting, picking, checking and dispatching of inventory Supervising daily activities of reporting staff including handling the disciplining and development of staff Handling investigations and resolving work problems Maintaining Warehouse Management controls daily Implementing and Managing Health and Safety processes and procedures Completing of ad hoc duties as required by the Manager To be considered for the position you will have to meet the following criteria: Matric / N3 and 3 years proven experience in a warehousing team leader or supervisory position Manufacturing industry experience is essential Proven experience with and exposure to automated warehouse management systems English literacy and the ability to write speak and understand English Computer literacy in the MS office suite with the ability to compile, mail and consolidate documents Knowledge of Syspro would be advantageous Proven ability in overseeing day-to-day production activities in a unionized workplace A sound understanding of Finances and its impact on the operation Good interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully delegate responsibilities where appropriate A passion for quality and delivery on time Excellent attention to detail Proven ability in maintaining high levels of accuracy when under pressure The ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basis Good conflict handling skills Must have a valid drivers license, and own vehicle
